Before I moved back to Florida to work in the family business of Real Estate, I worked in the same business for a decade. And while it had it's blessings and triumphs, it had got to a point where time was slipping away from me. So LIFE as it often does, sent me a message. A change in my health forced me to make some changes and though hard to implement, the results were amazing. My son Jack, is nine years old, soon to be 10. Like most parents I wonder where all that time went. In my former business I could not be there for my son the way I wanted to be and because of that, I missed a lot. But now I am fortunate to be in a business that is flexible and work with a great group of Real Estate Brokers, my parents and their partners, the Farnums. So now when Jack calls me at the last minute and says "Mom, mom, we have a street hockey game today, I forgot, I need my shirt, you have to come..." I can come running now. I am continuously amazed at how incredible my little Beachy Beach office has done the past 2 years. This year was the best ever to date!!!! I am so grateful to all the people that made that happen and everywhere I turn I meet the kindest people that are excited about what we are doing. As I am sitting here this am I know that the greatest gift that has helped me is the gift of gratitude that reminds me that all the time I spend counting my blessings takes away from any focus on the negative. I started writing gratitude list when I was only 10 years old and that was long before Oprah told us to do so. It has enabled me to see what could be and reach for that and focusing on what I have seems to make all that I have grow exponentially.
