What is it that would make a creature as fierce, majestic and powerful as a lion is, subject itself to the intimidation of a man, a whip, and a chair?........
The Lion has been taught to forget what it is!
Life can be that way, events and tragedies and sadness can cause you to forget who you are and the power that is inside you. Life has a way of breaking your very foundation and sometimes that is just what is needed to put you on the right course and remember
WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF!!!
I just love a New year and New Beginnings. I love that I can look over the year with all its glory and its gore!!!! I can learn from the things that did not work out, I can celebrate more of what worked and I can start all fresh and new. What I can not do and must not do is forget who I am and the power and the strength that is inside of me waiting to be used.
Something that I am excited about and I hope that you are too is the ability to do more of what we LOVE!!! Our family has walked through some tragic events this year that has opened my eyes and heart to do more of what I love and less of what has no value to me.
I have realized that working more hours in the week does not count as a workout!!! I have realized that the more I sit at my desk the more I have to sit on!!! LOL!!! I have learned that working longer hours takes time away from healthy activities like loving on my family and PLAYING!!! I vow to stop and play and get up and jump, to run around the room for no reason at all other than I CAN!!! I vow to dash across the road to the beach to catch the last minute of the sun going down so I can look up and be grateful for another day well lived.
I vow to spend more time with those that I love and things that I love and celebrate the little things. I vow to fit in a 10-minute work out if that is all that I have and not wish for more but to be grateful for the time that I have.
I vow to remember that I am courageous and strong and remember who I am and whose I am and that I am fearfully and wonderfully made!! I look forward to ringing in a new year with all of you and celebrate another year of being fitter and more grateful!!!
grateful,
Karen
