Beachy Beach August Love Note

Dear BB's,
I was having a meeting before the meeting, and it was so enjoyable to discuss all the exciting things happening in our business and personal world. It was fun to speak of all the lessons that we have learned and some lessons that our sweet agents have shared with us. Scott said something on the topic of worry that hit me. He said, " Our friend had worried about the money until it was gone!!! " WOW!!!!
Worry is just like that, it consumes us, and it propels us in the wrong direction. It bids us think worrisome thoughts, It leads us to believe defeat, and it tempts us to cling tightly with fist clinched and brows furrowed. But the worst part of worry is that it keeps us with a tight fist rather than palms up and waiting for our next blessing. WE hold onto things we think are so important and we fight to keep them, not realizing if we release our grip hold there are far better gifts around the corner. When we are in the grips of holding on, we are not ready to receive.
This visual reminded me of a story that Max Lucado shared about his daughters in a pit of balls at an amusement park. He shared that one daughter was having the time of her life bouncing in the sea of colored balls and loving life and laughing. HIs other daughter, however, was collecting balls and having difficulty walking and soon had disappeared under the weight of all the balls she refused to let go of. She could not enjoy what the other sister was enjoying because she was too busy holding on. Her father pleaded with her; her sister tried to convince her just to LET GO!!!! She stubbornly held on to all her treasures and buried herself until her father with embarrassment had to rescue her.
WE are so much like that!!! We acquire toys and treasures, and we hold on tight. Don't even consider asking us to give up our stuff. WE are busy managing our stuff, we are working hard to hold on to our stuff, and we are so busy working to keep our stuff. Whew, we are wiped out, and we have forgotten to live. We have forgotten that the whole point of being here is to share our life with others…... to share our gifts, our time and yes even our beloved and ever so precious money.
I am thankful that somewhere along this life adventure I have learned not to entertain that demon called worry. I have learned that to worry about money is never a great success strategy. I have learned that the more I am thankful, extremely grateful for every little gift and I mean EVERYONE of them then it seems to overflow.
With a heart wide open and hands stretched open I am ready to receive and then the best part….. GIVE!!!!
Thanks for all the joy, all the kindness, all the support, all the love, all the commitment that I get from all of you. My treasure is you!!!
Grateful oh so grateful!!!
Karen
