Beachy Beach March Love Note
(Originally published March 24, 2016)
Dear Amazing BB's,
There is the most amazing group of Rain Dancers in Australia…. TRUE STORY!!! These aboriginal Rain Makers ALWAYS make it rain. There was one tribe that was more successful at making it rain than the others. One of the neighboring white tribes was suffering a drought and called on the successful rain makers to help them out and make it rain. On one of the occasions the leader of the white community went to the king of this group of Rain Makers and said, "Why is it that every single time you dance, it rains?" The king replied, "It's very simple, actually. We dance till it rains."
I just love love love that!!!! Did they have a special dance or were they special inside? Did they know something we don't know or did those amazing Rain Dancers know the powerful lesson of Hanging in there and being persistent without exception.
This business we are in is nothing but a game of PERSISTENCE, going the distance…...even when there is no sign of something good coming. WE have to believe that if we work, if we study, learn, grow, listen to others and just plain DON"T QUIT that we will meet with success. Sometimes we have to know what to do while we are dancing and waiting for our lovely rain shower."
These are just a few things that I think may help while we are waiting.
- Never TALK defeat or complain about your lack of work. Use that time to study something you don't know. Use that time to READ, READ,READ about others who know how to make it rain.
- NEVER EVER EVER EVER talk about the negative things of life on Social Media ie Spring Break. If you complain and lament about the negative that may happen due to an event you will not only add to the destruction of the good you will pave the way for the very thing that you do not want to come about. (This one is so simple it blows my mind)
- Watch others as they go through their dance, how do they move, what are they listening to while they dance? Who do they dance with? Turns out if you hang with people that are doing great things you will soon be doing great things too.
- Be jubilant for others while they dance. Get excited for them. Get happy for them. Know that if they can dance you can too!!!!!
Another story that makes my heart happy and reminds me of persistence without exception is a story of a well loved author. When Dr. Seuss presented his story, "And to Think I saw it on Mulberry Street, it was rejected by twenty seven publishers!!! One publisher saying that his work was just too different from the other books for juveniles on the market to warrant selling. "We Pass"
Please don't let rejection, or anything get in the way of what you were put here to do!!! The gift that you bring to my life and to the world can only be brought by you. You have a special dance that only you can dance. If you just keep on dancing what you are dancing for will come to you and grab a friend and break it down with them.
Let's Boogie,
