Some families are wondering how to get their children toys for Christmas, but others are wondering how they are going to put food on the table.
Beachy Beach 30A Real Estate urges you to remember Food for Thought Outreach this holiday season.
Food Insecurity, basically not knowing where your next meal is coming from, is a big problem in the United States. According to Feeding America in 2013 there were 49.1 million Americans living in food insecure households, over 15 million of those were children.
If you have someone to buy for and are not sure what to get them, why not pick one of your favorite local charities like Food for Thought Outreach and make a donation in their name? Food pantries especially struggle this time of year to keep up with the demands during the holidays, as many school children are missing meals provided by the school while they are on holiday break. Hilary Farnum, is the Vice-President of Food for Thought Outreach and would like to remind locals that Food for Thought Outreach will be collecting items at both pantries, Tuesday, December 9th from 9 am to 4 pm.
