If you're in Destin, you've no doubt found the best beach in the world, but now that you're here, where do you eat? Well, feast your eyes and your appetites as I list my favorite places to grab a bite to eat in Destin, Florida – with a water view. If you're at the harbor, you've found the holy-grail if you're a fisherman and a haven if you have been looking to indulge in some of Destin's hometown food. The Destin Harbor: Where to Eat – Harry T's: Pros: Sunset view second to none, great food, sports bar, live music, great hangout spot Cons: Might be a little loud for family dinners Our Pick: The Burgers, Nacho appetizer Price: expect to pay $10-15+ per person Visit Harry T's online Harbor Docks: Pros: Great view, sushi bar, the big deck, live music, limited seating, Breakfast, lunch and dinner Cons: Limited menu Our Pick: Breakfast – Surfer boy sandwich Lunch and Dinner: Sushi or the platter Price: expect to pay $6-12 per person for breakfast & 12-24 per person anytime else Visit Harbor Docks online Boshamps Oyster House: Pros: Amazing views, huge deck, brand new, games outside for the kids, beach with hammocks, live weigh-in out front, outdoor bar area with great sunset views Cons: a little pricey, Still too new to determine if it will be a lasting legacy, but so far so good! Our Pick: Oysters boshamp, the basket Price: expect to pay $15-30 per person Visit Boshamps online So you're out on the beach on scenic 98 and hunger sneaks up on you like a Florida sunburn. Where do you turn? Well, luckily the great people of Destin have taken the initiative to provide great food, right by the beach. Places to look for: Camille's: Pros: across the street from a public beach access, open air with shade, also have fresh fruit smoothies and some of the best sushi in town Cons: not directly on the beach, but the next best thing. Our Pick: the turkey avocado sandwich and sushi Price: expect to pay $6-12 per person down, a little more if you're a sushi fan Visit Camilles Online Whales Tail Restaurant: Pros: on the beach, downstairs bar, great for sunsets Cons: doesn't have a waterslide Our Pick: the wraps Price: expect to pay $8-14 per person Visit Whales Tail Online 790 on the Gulf: Pros: On the beach, all you can drink mimosas, upscale Cons: not an open beach, so beach access is for guests of the Inn at Crystal Beach only. Our Pick: Omlets in the morning, the 790 on the Gulf special burger, the poboy, Gumbo Price: expect to pay $10-15 per person Visit 790 on the Gulf online
