Because I believe in focusing on the positive and spending my life looking at the joys and the lessons of life I decided I needed to put my heart and head in the right place.  I picked up the book, “The Last Lecture” and I was not dissapointed. For those that are not aware it is the book written by the amazing, Randy Pausch who found himself saying goodby to his wife and kids at far too young an age.  He imparts his life philosophy in a last Lecture to his university but with full intention that it is a legacy for his kids and his wife.

If you have not read it please do but in the meantime here are the things that I loved…….

“Experience is what you get when you didn’t get what you want”  Failure is not only acceptable it is someimes essential!!!!!  Be sure to read about The Penguin Award or better yet Glorious Failure.

We get more sometimes from pursuing a dream and not accomplishing it rather than the dreams that we actually accomplish.

“The brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t wat it badly enough”

Love it…… At Disney World instead of saying the park closes at 8, they are instructed to say, “The park is open till 8pm”

“You can always change your plan but only if you have one”

And you know I love this one, “IN life you just have to decide if you are going to be a Tigger or an Eyore”

I think I will choose to be a happy hopeful Tigger full of expectation of what life is bringing me and grateful to the one that makes it happen.  Blessings to your day and spend it loving others and enjoying great books with even greater wisdom.
